Many people ask us why we do what we do. It’s not such an easy question to answer, really. The adrenaline, the change in perspective that it gives us, the liberation that one feels, as well as freedom…we love it all. When we were kids, we couldn’t wait to grow up, find jobs, and earn our own money that we can spend on whatever we want. Time certainly flew by in what seemed like mere hours and there we were, from 9 to 5, doing what we thought would make us happy.
It didn’t take long until we realised that our passion was lying someplace else, far away from the type of routines many people would kill to be a part of. We’ve always had a knack for the outdoors and the adventure-filled life. We wanted to do, experience, and travel as much as possible. It never seemed to bother us that we might be facing death itself every time because we have always told ourselves – and to this very day we still do – that no matter what, we followed our hearts, did everything the way we felt we should and had no regrets whatsoever.
When you think of extreme sports, most might seem impossible to do or achieve but this has never been a problem for us. If you are persistent, self-disciplined, and motivated, everything is achievable. Plus, repetition is key. You can’t imagine the times we’ve had to do a jump or dive over and over again until we manage to get it right. The real problem was how to make a living out of it and sponsor ourselves. How to transform doing what we love the most into our full-time job?
Luckily, we live in times where everything can be achieved with the help of a website, proper social media marketing, and a lot of coffee. Aside from being adrenaline junkies, writing has always been among our strongest suits. We thought it might help us, at least in the beginning, and that’s how we started. We created a website and started writing. Posts containing insights on how to perfect yourself in case you have a proclivity for the extreme, lists of amazing places to see, recommendations on what to do there, and so on. With the proper targeting, we started receiving hits, shares, outreaches and in the span of a year, we were already kinda popular in the field.
Long story short, in the following years we experienced nothing but support and organic growth of our follower base. We started undertaking more complex projects, have our audience interact pore proactively with us and be involved. We started filming video tutorials, guides, and sponsorships for world-famous brands , which has always been a dream of ours. And all of this has led you – our dear readers – to this moment.
